Veterans Forever Soldiers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing outreach support to homeless and other veterans in crisis.

The inspiration for Veterans Forever Soldiers came out of tragedy. One day while watching a newscast, Mr. Smith (co-founder and 15-year Army veteran) heard of a veteran nurse who, due to extensive posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), committed suicide in front of her two small children. His comrades were facing dire circumstances here at home. Further research produced staggering results of suicide, family deprivation, homelessness, mental health issues, alcohol and drug issues, lack of community support, posttraumatic stress and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) (not always linked to combat service, but overall military service), traumatic brain injury (TBI), benefits entitlement issues, loss of jobs. Since then, the commitment to do the best job possible to alleviate the suffering of his comrades has been steadfast.
